1.Application Scenarios

Disinfection and sterilization, food preservation, crop breeding, inspection and quarantine, etc.

Taking radiation sterilization as an example, it is a physical sterilization technology that uses energy from ionizing or non-ionizing radiation to destroy the structures of key biological macromolecules such as microbial genetic materials and proteins, or interfere with their cellular metabolism. This inhibits the growth and reproduction of microorganisms or even kills them directly.

Compared with other disinfection and sterilization technologies, it has the following major advantages:

(1) Cold processing: The low-temperature radiation process maximally preserves the original freshness and flavor of food.

(2) Eco-friendly: No three wastes are generated throughout the process, causing no environmental pollution. It helps clients improve product hygiene and meet environmental protection standards.

(3) Energy-saving and high-efficiency: Linear electron accelerators only consume electric power during operation. Compared with traditional preservation methods such as heat treatment, drying and freezing, its energy consumption is reduced by several times.

(4) Long-term preservation: Irradiated food can be stored for a long time at room temperature, facilitating long-distance transportation and international trade.
